Donegal claim Lory Meagher glory

Saturday the 4th June 2011 will go down in history as the day Donegal hurlers won their first senior All-Ireland title in the form of the Lory Meagher Cup. After defeat in the previous two finals they were determined to make it third time lucky. Defeat looked to be their lot again, but a last minute goal allowed them run out winners on a score line of Donegal 2-12 Tyrone 0-17. There was great celebrations after, well done to manager, Andrew Wallace, and his squad. Special congratulations to Aodh Ruadh under 16 hurling manager Peter Horan who was part of the historic panel, Aodh Ruadh senior hurler of the year in 2010 Paul Sheridan who lined out in midfield and scored a vital point and also well done to Aodh Ruadh's Aidan Begley who was part of the management team. All three lads played an important role in this historic victory.
