Aodh Ruadh family fun day.
Big thanks to everyone who attended the Aodh Ruadh Family Fun day last Sunday. The weather wasn't exactly on our side, but it was a great day out all the same, made all the better thanks to the welcome visit of the recently reacquired Anglo Celt. Thanks also to everyone involved in the setting up and running of the day, which was a sizeable cast of people, too many to name here. Thanks to everyone who made donations of bric-a-brac as well as items for the bake sale. Thank also to our vintage cars owners, people who organised the games on the pitch and everyone who took part, those in charge of the burger stand, everyone behind photographic exhibition, the face painters, the tea makers, the stall attendants and anyone who helped in way, shape or form. Of course we couldn't forget the lady herself, the cow who delivered the goods in Father Tierney Park, under the watchful eye of her handsome assistants. Congratulations to the winners in the Cow Pat competition who were Peter Horan: €100; John Rooney, Eoghan Kelly, Darren Sharpe, and Marie Dowdican: €50 each. The photographic exhibition will remain up in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh until Friday 10th August. We will be distributing photographs ordered at the Family Fun Day between 7.30pm to 8.30pm on that day, and those seeking to purchase pictures or make other orders are more than welcome to come along and make them then. We have a large selection of pictures from the Family Fun Day so we've decided to publish them to aodhruadh.org in batches. The first batch is almost 50 images from the Anglo Celt's trip to Ballyshannon, including visits to Aras Aoidh Ruaidh and the Rock Hospital. The rest of the pictures are now published below.
