The reserves were defeated by MacCumhaill's 2-14 to 1-5. It was a battling display by the Ernesiders where poor shooting let them down. Aodh Ruadh found it hard to come by score, while MacCumhaill's profited greatly on the counter-attack. Barry Travers did well in the middle of the field and Fiachra McIntyre was another who had a good 60 minutes. Ronan Drummond showed up well what was generally a decent display by the back six. David Downey did very well up front when the going was very difficult.
