Crampsey once again proves an unhappy hunting ground

The homesters got off to the perfect start, bagging a goal from the boot of Peter Devlin after two minutes, before Diarmaid McInerney got Aodh Ruadh off the mark with a free. The sides swapped wides before Aodh Ruadh went on a run of scores which took them into a two point half time lead. Philip Patton pointed from play before Diarmaid McInerney added three more points, two of those coming from placed ball to leave Aodh Ruadh leading 0-5 to 1-0 at the interval.

Urris got their second score of the game at the start of the second half, Evan McLoughlin slotting a free. That signalled a run of from the Inishowen men as points from Peter Doherty and Alan Friel took Urris into the lead. Evan McLoughlin then nailed a free and grabbed a point from play before Peter Boyle was forced to make a save to deny a goal chance. McLoughlin pointed the resultant 45, but Peter Boyle sent over a long range free to cut the deficit to a goal.

A black card saw Ronan McGurrin replaced by Shane McGrath, but it was Aodh Ruadh who were to finished the game stronger. The sides swapped wides before Diarmaid McInerney and Evan McLoughlin (free) made the scores 1-7 to 0-7. Alan Friel pointed, but the Ernesiders hit back with scores from Barry Mulligan and Damian Cleary, but time ran out on the visitors and the scores ended 1-8 to 0-9 in favour of Urris.
